She was an integral part of implementing new software that included a scanning system and training intake staff on patient registration and order entry. In 2006 Melissa shifted focus to post-acute skilled nursing financial operations as a Business Office Manager and managed all areas of revenue cycle for billing collections and the many other moving parts that go along with the internal processes. She was primary financial team member for EMR software implementation as well, and also completed an the Emerging Leader Program at University of North Carolina that focused on healthcare professionals. Melissa moved to Florida and continued her career in skilled nursing and post-acute working as Business Office Manager with a multiple facility organization and training other office managers, most recently in addition to business office duties a heavy focus as a Florida Medicaid specialist.  2022 brought changes and Melissa has joined Health Care Professional Consulting Services, Inc. team and is a Revenue Cycle Manager providing a wide array of support and services to the providers that the organization serves and supports on a daily basis.
